“The first draft is just you telling yourself the story.”
- Terry Pratchett
In this first of three episodes
we figure out communications between the two vehicles, get settled in at Manning Provincial Park, and then manage to
hit a tree with our trailer!
In this third and final video of the cowboy loop series, we stay at Skihist Provincial Park where Mel
parks the trailer for the first time, we discover the Nahatlatch Valley, and then make a final stop at the Alexandra
Bridge all while keeping a watchful eye on a forest fire burning nearby.
Our BC road trip continues in this second video of our 3 part “cowboy loop” series that starts and ends
from our home base in Hope, BC. Jay goes swimming with a duck when we spend time at Marble Canyon Provincial Park,
we enjoy the amazing views on highway 99, then make a pit stop at Lillooet before heading to Skihist Provincial Park
outside of Lytton, BC.
Our travel vlog starts and ends in the town of Hope, BC and is an easy loop for anyone living in the
Lower Mainland, south Cariboo, or Okanagan Valley to access. We hope it will give others travel ideas and inspire
them to explore BC and travel in Canada.
The Alexandra Bridge is located about 30 minutes north of Hope, BC on the Trans-Canada highway (Hwy 1)
near the town of Yale, BC in the Fraser Canyon. There is a picnic area and outhouses near the parking lot, and a
trail that leads to the Alexandra Bridge.
We take our RV down a gravel road into the Nahatlatch valley near Boston Bar, British Columbia Canada to
do some camping. We share what we find in the area, what camping is like in the Nahatlatch valley, and things to do.
While camping in the Nahatlatch Valley in British Columbia, Canada we explored the Nahatlatch Provincial
Park for an amazing waterfall called Grizzly Falls. This accessible roadside waterfall is great for anyone willing
to make the drive for a visit. On the way we get really excited when we spot a bear next to the river.
We stayed at Skihist provincial park near Lytton, BC in June 2021. We discover insect viewing, take our
cat Benny for a hike where things get interesting, and share details about the campground for others to plan their
stay at Skihist provincial park.
That time we lost our drone. More importantly, how we got our lost drone back. We lost sight of our drone
while flying it near a raging river in a forest and the battery was starting to run low!
The town of Lillooet, BC is full of things to do. We explore the town of Lillooet to learn about its gold
rush history, wildlife, Seton lake, and first commercial winery.
