Have you ever set out on an adventure only for it to not work out the way you had hoped? We’re sure that happens to everyone from time to time and it happened to us recently when we went in search of an abandoned provincial park.

The Nicolum River provincial park near Hope, BC has been closed for years and we wanted to know why. When the use of camping and recreational sites around BC are on the rise, we found ourselves curious to see this park and investigate its history and reasons for closing. To note, we have contacted BC Parks to inquire, but unfortunately have yet to hear back from them. We suspect they are likely much busier at this time of year and hope they will reach out soon.
