“The first draft is just you telling yourself the story.”
- Terry Pratchett
We are staying at Falcon Lake Beach Campground near the border between Manitoba and Ontario - the
half-way mark of our journey from BC to Ontario.
Our drive across the Canadian Prairies continues across Saskatchewan and into Manitoba. Without much to
look at, we find ourselves entertaining ourselves with snacks, road games, and car-karaoke.
We leave our friends in Calgary to start our journey across the Canadian prairies. After a stop in
Drumheller to enjoy the unique scenery, we head to Saskatchewan and discover the first house Mel lived in, Saskatoon
berries, and cowboy caviar.
We drive from Lake Louise to Cochrane (just outside of Calgary, AB) and visit Banff on the way. We found
free RV parking in the town of Banff, too! Our amazing hosts in Cochrane started our day off right with breakfast
made on their Traeger BBQ.
We spend sunrise at Lake Louise in Banff National Park, Canada, then hike up to the Plain of Six Glaciers
Tea House for tea and biscuits!
We head out on a 2-week drive cross-country so we can spend Thanksgiving with our family. But first, we
need to tow our trailer up over the mountains. How will our truck handle the climb?
Take a tour of the Prime Time RV Tracer 230FBS travel trailer - It checks (almost) all of our boxes!
The great, not so great, and neutral thoughts as we review our 2011 GMC Sierra 1500.
The towing capability is awesome, and we love the sunroof, but there's one thing we wish we could change...
Want to see which truck and trailer we got? We reveal that on our first trip out. On this trip we are
joined by friends and we find a FREE boondocking site, camping on crown land, close to Hope, BC.
