“Two roads diverged in a wood and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”

Our Current Rig (2025-)

After our trip to Baja, Mexico in 2022, we started looking for something a bit smaller than our 25-foot travel trailer, but with all the ammenities. After much research and searching, we decided we needed to take matters into our own hands and design and build out a van from scratch (with some help, of course).

This is KeVan, a custom-built 2025 Ram Promaster 2500 conversion with:

  • Front dinette area with face-to-face seating
  • Two front swivel chairs, each with their own desk for working
  • Kitchen with sink, 32-gallon water supply, and undercarriage-mounted grey tank
  • 3ft x 2ft enclosed bathroom with shower and removable composting toilet
  • Queen-size bed (side to side sleeping)
  • Large storage garage with interior access
  • 880W fixed solar, half mounted double-decker on top of Maxxair fan and 12v air condtioner
  • 800Ah (~10kWh) lithium battery bank with 3000W inverter/charger
  • No propane: All electric, except for a gasoline-powered forced air heater

Our Previous Rig (2020-2024)

Meet “The Condo on Wheels”, our tiny home that we chose for our traveling adventures. She was a Tracer 230FBS that checked all the boxes in terms of what we were looking for in a travel trailer - separated bedroom, access to the bed and bathroom when the slide is in, and able to be parked in the driveway of our homebase. It gave us the freedom to explore the North American continent without having to worry about where we’re going to sleep that night, where the next rest station might be, or wondering if we can bring Benny with us.

Be sure to see our full in-depth review of the Primetime RV Tracer 230FBS. As I mention in the review video, it really checks all our buttons! (Yeah, I meant "boxes")

Of course, we wouldn’t have went anywhere without the strength and power of our GMC Sierra. We spent a lot of time researching and learning about trucks, and found this gently loved beauty to be the perfect fit to tow The Condo on Wheels to all our destinations. Our favorite feature? Hands down the sun roof.

And don't forget to check out our video review of the GMC Sierra 1500. It's really the perfect truck for all our RVing needs!
