On our drive back to British Columbia, from Ontario, we had a lot of time to talk about what this trip meant to us and the things we’d learned from it. As newbies to RV ownership, some might think we were bold and brave for taking on such a long-haul trip with little experience.

The trip had everything - things going right, things going not so right, and everything in between. Our preparation for the RV lifestyle was very focused on gaining the knowledge we needed to stay safe on the roads, be courteous campground neighbors, and finding places to stay. What we weren’t expecting to learn was how much this lifestyle can open one’s eyes to incredible places and things we can often take for granted . There were six things, in particular, that we learned or came to realize in this first year of RV ownership that we’d like to share with you in this week’s video.
